How to Play Connect 4

Drop discs, connect four, win

Overview

Connect 4 is a head-to-head game for 2 players on a 7-column, 6-row grid. Take turns dropping a disc into a column — gravity pulls it down to the lowest open slot. The first to connect four in a row, horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, wins.

How to Play
  1. Who drops the first disc is chosen at random when the game starts — not always the host — then players alternate turns.
  2. Click any cell in a column to drop your disc there — it falls to the lowest open row in that column.
  3. The first player to connect four of their own discs in a row (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) wins immediately.
  4. If the board fills completely with no winner, the match ends in a draw.
